I am assuming you just launch the drum software and then launch windows media player and both 'should' come out of the audio card. Since I am only going to be using the TD20 as a TMI, I started thinking about the click and playing along with mp3's and such. This may be a dumb question but can you still play along to MP3's and use a metronome with Superior and/or BFD2. I've been trying to get it to run acceptably in a Virtual Windows session on my mac (parallels rocks!!), and have pretty much given up that I will have to run it on my PC laptop. I will be adding DTXMania to the mix soon.

RMC Audio had a NICE Yammie $99 mixer that I seriously considered, in the long run, price won out. Not very professional, but my bigass speakers are better than you'd think. When I have my music room back, I will plug the main outs of the mixer to my stereo unit, and run it out of that.

Headphones in the mixer (with a 1/8' to 1/4' adapter). Korg uses 2 mono cables (R and L) to another channel on the mixer. IPod & Laptop use a mini (1/8') jack to 2 (two) 1/4' mono (R/L) jacks, which plug into the mixer. IPod, Korg, Behringer 5 channel mixer, laptop, headphones, I mix 'n match my setup depending on what I am interested in doing. With the mixer, I can get just about any combination I want out of my setup. This allows me to max the volume on both components (iPod & Korg) and use the mixer to, well, mix. My normal setup is my Korg keyboard outs (it's my MIDI sound source) and my iPod outs going to a 5 channel cheap-o Behringer mixer. This isn't great because the BFD, Met'nome and iTunes all are on the same system volume level and therfore all going into the same input on the mixer, and though I can adjust iTunes, it's a pain. Well, I don't use iTunes and the metronome program at the same time, but I _could_. Please read this article from AVID's Knowledge Base for more information on this issue.I use a MacBook Pro, and I use BFD 1.5, a simple metronome program and iTunes all at the same time, and they all come out of the same stereo speaker jack. MASCHINE should now play in sync with Pro Tools. Right-click on the cmp indicator in the Delay Compensation section of the Audio Track and select Auto Low Latency off.Select Delay Compensation in the appearing drop-down menu.Press the Mix Window View Selector Icon on the bottom left corner of the Mixer.Set the Audio Track to receive audio from Bus 1-2.Select I/O in the Edit Window View selector.Press the Edit View Window selector button on the Instrument Track where MASCHINE is loaded.

Load MASCHINE in an Instrument Track in Pro Tools.

To solve this issue, you will have to route MASCHINE's audio to a separate track and turn off this track's 'Auto Low Latency' option in Pro Tools' Delay Compensation section. In some particular cases, MASCHINE plays back with a short delay in Pro Tools 11 (or higher).
